Meggitt PLC, the international aerospace, defence and electronics group, has acquired Precision Micro, Europe’s leading high precision, photochemical machining manufacturer. The business will be managed by Meggitt’s Equipment Group division.
John Gobbi has been appointed General Manager with immediate effect, replacing former Managing Director, Anthony Marrett, who will continue to work with the business as a consultant.
Mr Gobbi commented: “The acquisition sits well in the Meggitt portfolio and will open up new opportunities for the Precision Micro business.”
State College, PA – Chemcut Corporation is pleased to welcome Rick Doherty to its North American sales management team. Rick joined Chemcut 33 years ago and has held several positions within the company. Most recently Rick was the world-wide Technical Service manager.
Rick will be responsible for customer sales activities and overall customer support in the central region of the USA. Rick will be supporting and working with Chemcut’s central region representative firms, Toryon and Trichem. Rick joins Jerry Reitz and Mike Soble, the other members of Chemcut’s North American sales management team, who are responsible for the eastern and western regions, respectively. This project required a multi million Euro investment. The new production area is build to create a contamination free process and is already fully operational.
