Testing of a Liga-microspectometer for Monitoring Dissolved Nickel Concentration When Etching Nickel and its Alloys in Aqueous Ferric

In the photochemical machining of micro-parts from nickel-containing alloys, a solution of ferric chloride is used as the etchant. As the alloy is dissolved into solution, the concentration of dissolved nickel will increase to a point where the surface finish of the etched parts will be affected adversely and become rougher.

Etching of Amorphous Alloys

Etching of Amorphous Alloys
Winter 1986
Recently amorphous alloys have become more important.
Quite a number of alloys are commercially available nowadays.
Suppliers include Allied Chemicals (tradename Metglas),
Vacuum Schmelze (Vitrovac), Hitachi etc. All the commercially
available amorphous alloys have belonged up till now to the
group H (T, M), in which:
H stands for the main metal components Fe, Ni or Co
T stands for other metal components of the alloy (viz.

The mural in the entrance hall ofRed Lion Court, London SE1 is
the outcome of a remarkable story of support and collaboration
between the artist, the architect, and the client. Architects
frequently shy away from commissioning artists because they
find themselves in an unenviable position in the middle.
Electroforming and Chemical Milling of Perforated Products: A C

Electroforming and Chemical Milling of Perforated Products: A Comparison
Spring 1986
Summary
Among the various technologies available for the production
of perforated flat metal products, such as stamping, spark
erosion, laser cutting, mechanical milling, etc., two technologies
deserve a better knowledge because of their unique combination
ofa high quality level with respect to accuracy and reproducibility
combined with relatively low production costs.
