PCM: The Right Tool for the Job

Engineers and procurement managers are increasingly recognizing the beneits offered by PCM over conventional methods of production, such as laser cutting, stamping, electro discharge machining (EDM), wire erosion, and waterjet cutting. To bring to light the advantages of PCM, the PCMI has produced a range of new literature and market research initiatives.

Selecting the correct manufacturing process for the creation of lat metal parts is crucial to cost-effective purchasing of it-for-purpose parts, such as washers, shims, spacers, semiconductor leadframes, and grids, which may require any number of apertures of all shapes and sizes. The appropriate speciication may be achieved through any of the abovementioned production methods, but to select the most cost-effective method, it is necessary to look at the options in greater detail.
