Professor Allen’s new book “Photochemical Machining and Photoelectroforming” has just been published. The book includes some material from his old book “The Principles and Practice of Photochemical Machining and Photoetching” published in 1986 but now out of print.
However, the book has been thoroughly revised and updated and also includes new Chapters covering phototooling, metal preparation, photoresists, ferric chloride, cupric chloride, etchant regeneration, etchants for precious metals, stainless steels, magnesium, titanium, difficult-to-etch materials, aluminium, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten, process control, PCM products, electrolytic photoetching, photoelectroforming and its products. The book includes an appendix containing tables of ferric chloride concentrations and a comprehensive index.
The 237-page book is printed in full colour on glossy paper and perfect softbound in a laminated cover for durability. It is available for sale at £60 (UK pounds sterling) or $100 (US dollars) plus postage and packing.
