Greetings!
As we prepare to enjoy the holidays and celebrate a new year, I want to thank you for your continued support for PCMI and review our 2024 milestones.
We had two great conferences this year, in Frankfurt, Germany and Orlando, Florida. Even a hurricane couldn’t stop PCMI at our Fall Technical Conference. Additionally, due to Cathy’ retirement, we partnered with MSP to provide our administrative support.
We are also pleased to announce that the PCMI Online Employee Training Short Course is live after undergoing a complete redesign by Prof. David Allen, Emeritus Professor of Microengineering, Cranfield University, UK. The revised Short Course trains staff members with little academic or practical expertise in a more contemporary, four-part modular format. It is FREE for PCMI members. (A $1,000 value.)
For 2025, we will continue looking for ways to improve your PCMI experience, so I hope you will choose to renew your membership when you receive your renewal notice in the next few weeks. Just a few examples:
-
- We plan to conduct a member survey to ensure we are providing you with the best possible benefits and services.
-
- We will engage in a strategic planning process, starting with membership and eventually covering all aspects of PCMI.
-
- We are moving to a more advanced membership database, which will be a more integrated and user-friendly experience.
-
- We are planning two exciting conferences, for spring, we will be in Italy, and for fall, we will be in the Pacific Northwest of the US.
-
- We plan to update the by-laws to better reflect our organization.
Let me give you even more reasons why I believe it is beneficial for you to renew your PCMI membership:
-
