Facility Tours
The PCMI Conference Manufacturing Facility Tours will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
The tours will include visits to the Penn State Materials Research Institute – Nano Fabrication Lab and Chemcut.
Pre-Conference Tours
The PCMI Fall 2023 Pre-Conference Tour will be held at the National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport.
The Center is the companion facility to the museum in Washington, D.C. Features include hundreds of historically significant air- and spacecraft, along with thousands of small artifacts, are on display in an open, hangar-like setting. Other features of the Center include the Donald D. Engen Observation Tower, the Airbus IMAX Theater, and the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar, where visitors can watch museum specialists at work restoring artifacts.
Highlights of the tour will include the Space Shuttle Discovery; B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay; Concorde, Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird; Boeing Stratoliner.

Day parking is $7 for up to 10 hours, overnight parking is $15 with in-and-out privileges. Guests can take care of their parking costs at the gift shop or front desk at their convenience.
