The Potential of Oxygen for Regeneration of Spent Ferric Chloride Etchant Solutions

All of the current processes used for the regeneration of spent ferric chloride etchant solutions have drawbacks from the perspective of environmental and/ or “health and safety” considerations. This paper investigates the use of oxygen gas for regeneration as an economically­ viable alternative process with negligible environmental impact.
